01 / Preparation
Before the first look.
Before guests filled the room, the show existed as a network of small, precise acts. Makeup artists built the faces while wardrobe assistants and dressers steamed, organized, and readied each garment.
02 / Soundcheck
The room
holds still.
At the open loading bay, instruments were wired and checked against the skyline across the water. For a moment: stage lights off, drums waiting, runway empty.
03 / Look documentation
Held still
before motion.
One by one, the collection moved in front of the camera. Each look was held long enough to register the metallic jacquards, mirrored surfaces, drape, and handwork before it entered the runway.
04 / Live set
Then the
band began.
The quiet preparation gave way to live sound. The room changed tempo, and the collection was no longer waiting in the wings.
05 / Runway
The work
enters the room.
Models moved between the audience and the live musicians. The earlier details of makeup, garment care, sound, and light arrived together as a single experience.
06 / After
A fly on the wall as the work became a show.
The pieces were extraordinary to see up close. Photographing from the edges made it possible to witness the labor, atmosphere, and release of the experience, not only the runway but everything that brought it to life.
